Whether your product is brand new or you’ve had it a while, it can be helpful to know some tricks and tips to maintain optimal performance!

As a general rule, it’s always good to keep items stored in a fairly neutral environment - avoid excessive heat or cold for lengthy periods of time. And if you have an aerosol product, it is advisable to make sure you are regularly shaking it before each use!

Hairspray having difficulty spraying or not spraying at all?

• Pop the nozzle off and soak in hot water for 20-30 minutes
• Use a pin or needle to clear any buildup from the inside of the nozzle
• Let the nozzle dry completely before placing back on the bottle and attempting to spray

The polymers that provide the 'hold' to keep your style in check throughout the day is also just as strong inside that little actuator -- we know it's a little bit of a hassle, but we've found, through the help of stylists and consumers' feedback, that just giving the nozzle a quick rinse (you don't even need to take it off the bottle) in some warm water before you put the cap on to store it is the best way to reduce the product sputtering like this!

Other sprays (without removable nozzle) having trouble?

• Rinse the cap in warm running water
• Use a small safety pin or needle to clean the actuator of the product of any possible buildup
