LilialUpdated 2 months ago
Since 2019, in accordance with EU regulations, amika began proactively reformulating our entire active assortment to remove Butylphenyl Methylpropional (more commonly known as “Lilial”), which was previously used in trace amounts of our fragrance. As a brand, amika has always formulated in accordance with EU safety standards, which are among the highest in the industry and require all ingredients to be listed, even those that are in trace amounts. As of September 2021, amika no longer sells products containing Lilial in the UK and EU & began phasing in Lilial-free formulations in North America.
